STARQUEST / MEDIA USE & PERMISSIONS

Share the battle. Know your permissions.

You are welcome to record, stream and share Starquest gameplay. This policy explains the permission Starquest gives you, the credit to include, and the uses that need separate approval.

Version 2026-10-08.1 · Effective October 8, 2026 (UTC). Licensing authority: Starquest, the operator of starquest.live. The operator administers these permissions for material it owns or is authorized to license.

What you may do

For the Starquest-controlled material described below, Starquest grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to:

You do not need individual approval for these uses if you follow this policy. You may let your hosting platform reproduce and display the media as needed to deliver your permitted post or stream. This is not permission to sublicense the game or sell its assets.

What this permission covers

It covers Starquest’s rights, to the extent they exist and are controlled by Starquest, in ordinary gameplay footage, screenshots, in-game audiovisual material and official promotional artwork. You retain any rights you hold in your own commentary and original additions. Starquest retains its rights in the game.

It does not grant rights to third-party music or other separately licensed material, another person’s voice or likeness, private information, or third-party trademarks. Obtain any additional permissions your use needs. Do not publish private account information or private conversations. Source code and software components remain under their own licenses.

Nothing here promises exclusive ownership or copyright protection for every element of an image or recording. Existing legal exceptions, such as applicable fair use or fair dealing, are not limited by this policy.

Give the game credit

Include Starquest — https://starquest.live in your post, description, credits or another reasonably visible place. When a platform does not support links, use “Starquest” or “starquest.live”.

You may use the Starquest name and game imagery to identify the game you are showing. Do not imply that your channel, product or views are official, sponsored or endorsed by Starquest without separate permission. Keep attribution present when reposting official promotional artwork.

Hybrid Arena replays

Starquest permits Hybrid Arena to host, cache, display, embed, share and export Starquest replay media for its replay and community features, subject to the saving user’s permissions, applicable privacy requirements and this policy. Arena may also prepare private collectible proposals and present them for review.

A saved replay, its content hash, an export, or a proposal does not itself authorize minting or sale. Ownership of an Arena account or saved replay is not ownership of all rights in the game media. Other required player, third-party and issuer permissions must still be obtained.

Collectibles need specific approval

This public policy does not authorize NFT or other collectible issuance, minting, listing or sales. A Starquest operator must approve a separate, recorded grant before those uses proceed.

Each approval must identify the exact saved recording and content commitment, the Arena proposal or manifest digest, the intended issuer and collection, the permitted uses, territory and term, the maximum edition size, and an issuance deadline. It must also state how approval can expire or be revoked, and what that means for already authorized copies. Changing the recording, proposal, issuer or edition requires a new approval.

The grant must be available for durable lookup and checked again before issuance. A permission request, a checkbox, a matching hash or silence is not approval. Starquest has not enabled an automated grant or minting service through this policy. Funding, purchases and payment features require their own authorization.

Ask first for other commercial uses

Separate written approval is required to distribute extracted game assets as an asset pack, sell the game media as a standalone product, produce merchandise, or use Starquest branding to endorse another product. Ordinary monetized gameplay videos and streams remain permitted under the first section.

For permission requests or rights concerns, contact the Starquest operator through the Starquest project’s issue tracker. Describe the media, intended use and where it will appear. That tracker is public: do not include private account details, credentials or confidential documents. A private follow-up channel can be arranged when needed.

Conditions and future changes

This permission applies while your use complies with this policy. It does not cover misleading endorsement claims, unlawful use, privacy violations, or redistribution outside the stated scope. If Starquest notifies you of a specific violation, stop the affected use and address it. A later policy update applies to new uses; previously published compliant uses may continue under the version that permitted them, subject to applicable third-party rights and any separate agreement.

Individual collectible grants follow their own recorded terms, including expiration and revocation. Keep a copy of the policy or grant that applies to your use. The current policy version and machine-readable summary are available in the media policy summary; this page controls if a summary differs.
